The old photos of the licensed premises on this site is where the grove road crossed the current A39 always referred tons the Bell? A copy of this photo was hanging in the hall way of the Lancers. All that remains on the site now are the sunken bits of a wooden building which was the pump house one the well. The A30 collapsed in the 1980’s

Fovant Silver Band Bass Drum found in Tisbury Arts Group store

An educated guess is that is the occasion of the Fovant Club’s annual walk to the church after their celebratory
breakfast at the Cross Keys taken outside the Old Rectory.The bandsmen can be distinguished not only by their
instruments but also by the fact that they are all wearing a ‘uniform’ cap, the first recorded example of a uniform.
