Visitors to the Forces
Whilst the atmosphere of the camps around Fovant was overwhelmingly that of a military establishment, there were occasions when the presence of civilians was welcomed. A camp newspaper, the ‘Hurdcott Herald’, recorded some of these social events. Extracts from this and from other sources have enabled us to list some of the civilians who visited the camps.
