Cribbage Hut
The old photo of the licensed premises on this site is where the track from the corner of Lagpond Lane and Sutton Row crosses the current A30. A copy of this photo was hanging in the hallway of The Lancers which is the building which replaced The Cribbage Hut in this photo. All that remains on the site now are the sunken bits of a wooden building which was the pump house for the well.

Fovant Silver Band Bass Drum found in Tisbury Arts Group store

An educated guess is that this photo was taken outside The Old Rectory on Church Lane on the occasion of the Fovant Club’s annual walk to the church after their celebratory breakfast at the Cross Keys. The bandsmen can be distinguished not only by their instruments but also by the fact that they are all wearing a ‘uniform’ cap, the first recorded example of their uniform.

He also established a global marketing network, offering workout materials, nutritional supplements, and even a medical institution focused on exercise-based cures. Sandow’s image was widely used to sell products ranging from cocoa and cigars to exercise equipment.
The Sandows Cocoa & Chocolate competition, held in November 1913, had a deadline of March 31, 1914
The “Sandow’s Cocoa & Chocolate Competition” involved collecting tokens and wrappers with the aim of winning prizes. The prizes were awarded based on the total value of the collected items. There were multiple competitions with different closing dates throughout 1914, culminating in a grand prize-giving event in April 1915. The “3d” likely refers to a denomination, possibly pence, within the competition
