When was the beginning of the end of the war ?

Teachers’ Briefing Notes.

Did an overextended supply line contribute to the halting of the German army’s headlong advance towards Paris? How much did the subsequent forced retreat of the Germany army, back beyond it’s own borders, add to the civil unrest already in existence within Germany? In depth political analysis of this situation is obviously unsuitable for this age group, but some passing reference to it might be considered. Questions regarding the problems ex-soldiers would face when returning to civilian life should provoke some interesting answers. Another possible subject for a brief mention could be the Versailles Treaty and the part it may have played in leading to World War II.
