[Geography - Trees]

Fovant has the good fortune to have a Parish Tree Warden who is Jenny Bickerton. She has produced an excellent web site which you can reach by clicking here on The Fovant Tree Register.

It is interesting (and probably intentional) that the estates of social housing in the village were named after some prominent trees. It is also ironic that many of the trees are no longer standing. Fovant Elm suffered from disease and two prominent examples of weeping ash and poplar were deliberately felled. You can read more on the subject of Social Housing on another page of our web site.

Here are a few pictures of the estates and the trees from which they were named. You can enlarge the pictures by clicking on each of them.
